Buswang Lake, in Asturias, Cebu, is stunning and amazing. The Cebuano word "buswang" means "to flow out" or "explode" from a body of trapped water, such as a pond, lake, rice paddies, and the like. Locals and visitors can engage in a variety of enjoyable activities at Buswang Lake, such as fishing and taking a boat out to explore the lake.

Asturias Atong Hiyas

Did You Know?
Early settlers of Nagjalin(which later merged with Bagacua to form the Asturias pueblo) contributed one-peso coins (called miik) to create this big bell. The coins were sent to Iloilo for fabrication. The bell, with its old Spanish design, symbolizes the Asturianons unity and strength, and belief in God.
